Pretty Penny has always had a focus on well made, quality products that you don’t have to feel guilty about buying! We have a range of homeware, gifts, jewellery, fashion, toys and stationery. Lots of our products are Fairtrade or ethically sourced. We also place a focus on sustainable and planet-friendly products. We stock many UK based companies, a number of whom are local to us in Haworth. As well as this, we have a range of our own hand painted pottery, made here on site by our team.
Owner, Jill Ross, has been a business owner in the village since 2006. She began by opening Cobbles and Clay, a pottery painting café. After success in the café, she opened her first home, fashion and gift shop; Daisy Days. Fast forward a number of years; the café outgrew its premise and moved a few doors up the iconic cobbled Main Street; the shop has since moved into the building that was once the Yorkshire Penny Bank in 1894, hence the name Pretty Penny. The building is steeped in history and we are so pleased to call it ours.
Nestled in the heart of Bronte Country, the history of the village is unavoidable and is well celebrated. Home to the Bronte Parsonage and the Worth Valley Railway, Haworth attracts visitors from all around the world. The rolling moors and sloping cobbled streets are another highlight of our quirky village. Visit Haworth and see for yourself!
